Immediately after Daubert was handed down there was sentiment expressed that Daubert articulated a lower standard for admissibility of expert testimony.  This was apparently prompted by the Court's use of the phrase "liberal application" or something, Sophisticated commentators were slow to agree, noting that the opposite could well be expected to obtain.
